Ethical Statement

Cagey's Planet is proud to be 100 per cent sweatshop, forced labour free and child labour free. We aim to provide high quality products, where the beginning to end process is transparent.

All of our products have been certified cruelty-free by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). We are also plastic-free including our packaging and use compostable mailers.

Our tote bags from for CP07 collection are 100% organic cotton, made using renewable energy only, and printed using earth-friendly inks. They are climate neutral and Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) Certified.

The workers who make our tees received 24-hours access to medical clinics with free health care and medications, vaccinations and preventative screenings.

The hoodies from our W19 collection are from an Australian owned, ethically accredited manufacturer. The hoodies are outsourced to be cut and sewn overseas, while complying with all the ethical standards.

Our socks are 100% Australian, made in Brisbane and printed and packaged (by hand) in Melbourne.

The turtlenecks from our W18 collection were made in Melbourne (cut and sewn) by an ECA (Ethical Clothing Australia) accredited manufacturer.

Our zip-ups are manufactured from an Australian, family-run business of over 20 years who comply with all environmental, health and safety laws in Australia.

The embroidery for the W19 and S20 collection is by a small business in Sydney's inner west.

Our screen printing is done by a local screen printer in Melbourne who uses non-phthalate plastisol + non toxic ink.

The tees from our Save Our Planet range are from a New Zealand manufacturer who are WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) certified.

They hand-pick their factories (some of which use solar panels) based on social and environmental performance as well as quality production.

The dyes used are non-toxic and Oeko-tex certified. All factories monitor and correctly treat waste water and all have continuous improvement plans approved by third party NGOs for protection of the environment - including the monitoring of air emissions as well as noise pollution. Most fabric waste generated during production has a second life, going into companies who use it as filling for furniture and soft toys.

The leftover samples that aren't wearable go to their screen printing customers to use for test prints and rags and other waste gets separated into recyclables, paper waste, etc.

Our packaging is made from recycled materials which includes the postage bags, sock packaging, bakers twine and swing tags. Our mailers are made from corn starch and are biodegradable

Cagey's Planet's commitment to ethical social responsibility means all of the people who make our garments receive fair pay and working conditions.

We strongly believe in sustainability and taking care of our planet for future generations. Our runs are kept small and kept to a minimum, and we hope to encourage people to support local, ethical brands rather than indulge in fast fashion.
